Geriatric Healthcare Consultants LLC, provides comprehensive Therapeutic Recreation, Activity, Social Service and Dementia Care consultation services to Skilled Nursing and Assisted Living Facilities throughout the United States and Hawaiian Islands. G.H.C. consultants also provide Behavior Management support to facilities seeking to develop resident centered approaches to delirium and dementia based behaviors. Since 1990, G.H.C. has experienced continued growth. We are today the largest consulting group of our kind, supporting several hundred nursing facilities throughout the United States. Our success as a consulting group lies in our understanding of “best practice” approaches to meeting the psycho-social needs of residents – and our ability to integrate all elements of the interdisciplinary treatment team. Inherent in this mission is the consultant role as trainer, educator, advocate, motivator and liaison for Department Heads and Administrators within the facilities served. In addition to enhancing the quality of resident life through best practice delivery of Therapeutic Recreation/Activity, Social Service and Dementia Care, G.H.C. consultants successfully assist our clients through state and federal surveys – largely deficiency free!. Our content expertise also enables us to provide numerous training and certification programs, and we have certified hundreds of health care providers as Dementia Care Specialists following completion of the Dementia Care training program. G.H.C. consultants have also been involved in the training of federal and state surveyors as well as JCAHO accreditation team members.
