Geriatric Healthcare Consultants LLC, provides comprehensive Therapeutic Recreation, Activity, Social Service and Dementia Care consultation services to Skilled Nursing, Assisted Living and Dementia Care Communities throughout the United States. G.H.C. consultants also provide Behavior Management support to facilities seeking to develop resident centered approaches to delirium and dementia based behaviors.
Since 1990, G.H.C. consultants have provided training and support to several hundred Skilled Nursing Facilities, and have successfully assisted these facilities through state and federal surveys – largely deficiency free!. In addition, G.H.C. consultants have conducted numerous training and certification programs, and have certified hundreds of health care providers as Dementia Care Specialists following completion of the Dementia Care training program. G.H.C. consultants have also been involved in the training of federal and state surveyors as well as JCAHO accreditation team members.

Our team includes Therapeutic Recreation Specialists, Social Workers, Licensed Clinical Social Workers and Dementia Care Specialists. Collectively, we have expertise within therapeutic recreation, social work, dementia care, dementia and delirium related behavior, management, geriatric healthcare, psychiatric healthcare and mental health, hospice and end of life care, and transfer trauma/relocation stress syndrome.
